Beyond Beauty :How a male beautician is training the next Generation of Beauty Professions

A level 300 production by Owusu Princess Mccoyna

For many people, the beauty industry is a profession traditionally associated with women. However, Leo, a professional beautician and beauty trainer, is challenging that perception while helping to shape the future of young beauty professionals.

His journey into the beauty industry began at a young age through the influence of his mother. Watching her passion for beauty and fashion inspired him to develop an interest in the profession and eventually pursue it as a career.

“My mother inspired me because she loved dressing up and looking beautiful. Helping her made me develop an interest in beauty,” Leo said.

Despite his passion, Leo said he faced criticism from people who believed beauty was a profession meant only for women. He explained that many questioned his decision, but he remained determined to follow his dreams.

Leo talks about his school and the main motivation behind it.

Over the years, Leo has worked hard to establish himself in the industry. His dedication and creativity in his work.

His success motivated him to establish a beauty training school to equip young people with practical skills. According to him, the school was created to provide opportunities for individuals interested in building careers in the industry.

Leo believes skills development is one of the most effective ways of empowering young people. He said the school focuses on practical training, professionalism, customer relations, and entrepreneurship.

“I want my students to leave here with skills that can help them earn a living and become independent”, he explained.

The school has attracted students from different backgrounds who see beauty as a pathway to employment and self-development. Many of them say the training has given them confidence and practical experience.

“The training has improved my skills and taught me how to work professionally with clients”, one student said.

Another student described the school as a place that combines learning with real-life experience.

“The practical lessons have helped me understand the beauty industry better and prepare for my future career,” the student added.

Clients have also praised Leo for his professionalism and commitment to quality service. Many say his work demonstrates that talent and dedication matter more than gender.

“He is very talented and pays attention to detail. His work always meets my expectations”,one client said.

  13. It’s degraded an incredible case when females venture into assumed male professions but I believe it takes a man much more determination to venture into a profession assumed to be designated for females. Kudos Leo, you’ve taken an interesting path. Keep it up Sir
