How Social Media Is Helping Male Beauty Professionals Build Their Brand

Social media has evolved beyond platform for entertainment to become a powerful marketing tool for businesses. In a world where beauty has long been regarded as a profession for women, more men are making names for themselves in the industry. In Ghana's beauty industry, many beauty professionals are using platforms such as TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook to showcase their work, reach new clients, and grow their brands.

One of  them is Leonard Ahia, a hairstylist and makeup artist who say's his online presence has helped increase the visibility of his work and attract more clients.

According to him, social media has played a significant role in expanding his business by connecting him with clients beyond his immediate community. He says in an interview that many people first discovered his work online before booking an appointment.

He explains that constantly sharing photos and videos of his work on social mediahas helped build trust with potencial clients and increased his services. Beyound promoting his business, he says he enjoys helping client look and feel their best, describing beauty as a way of boosting confidence and bringing out each person's unique features.

The stylist believes that combining quality service with a strong online presence has enable him to build customer confidence and grow his business. He encourages other beauty professionals to remain consistent, produce quality work, and make effective use of social media to reach wider audiences.
